OUR COMMUNITY

The community served by the Williamsville Central School District includes portions of the towns of Amherst, Clarence, and Cheektowaga, all suburbs of Buffalo, New York. The district takes its name from the Village of Williamsville, located in Amherst, because of the early prominence of education in the village.

The Town of Amherst has been recognized as a major economic force in upstate New York and is currently the state's fourth largest municipality north of metropolitan New York. It is the site of the State University of New York at Buffalo, the largest unit of the largest university system in the nation. Residents of the district enjoy easy access to all the commercial, educational, recreational, cultural and community services and amenities associated with a major metropolitan area.

The district is favored with highly educated and involved community members who, along with a talented and dedicated staff and school board, are committed to quality education. The success of the district depends on our shared partnership.
