UPDATE:  Williamsville CSD has implemented new requirements for substitute teaching within the district.  In the past, WCSD required all substitute teachers to hold a current NYS teaching certification.  Although  preference will continue to be given to currently certified substitutes, applications from non-certified candidates with the following requirements are now being accepted: 

  • Applicant must have completed Student Teaching  AND have a recommendation from  a supervising teacher and/or student teacher advisor; OR
  • Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree*
  • Applicant must be fingerprinted through the NYS Dept. of Education 
*PLEASE NOTE:   Substitutes without a valid NYS teaching certification and who are not working towards certification can work a maximum of 40 day per school year.

Translators/Interpreters should apply using the translator application found here.  The completed paper application should be sent to Karen Greco at kgreco@williamsvillek.12org.  Please note, translators/interpreters are requested on a per diem basis as needed during the school year. Interpretation services are delivered in person; therefore, an applicant should have residence within reasonable proximity to the school district. Specific questions regarding translating/interpreting should be sent via email to kgreco@williamsvillek12.org.


Unless otherwise stated in a job posting, all candidates must apply online for a specific position at www.WNYRIC.org using an electronic process.  Please do not mail, fax or e-mail any resumes, letters of interest, reference letters, transcripts or certifications to the School District.  All of the above should be attached to your application on-line.
