12-06-21 NYSED Graduation Measures - Community Input
December 6, 2021
Dear Williamsville Community,
In January, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) will begin to meet virtually, with stakeholders throughout the state, to review graduation measures and “what a state diploma should signify to ensure educational excellence and equity for every student in New York.” NYSED is looking to engage with students, parents/guardians, educators, administrators, school support staff, higher education representatives, along with members of the general public to gather feedback.
The meeting for our area is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. To register, please click here: NYSED Virtual Meeting to Discuss Graduation Measures.
According to NYSED, these meetings will be led by Board of Regents Members and Erie 1 BOCES District Superintendent, Dr. Lynn Fusco. For additional information regarding these meetings please review NYSED’s memo: Education Department Announces Virtual Regional Information Meetings to Discuss Review of Graduation Measures in New York State.
Sincerely,
Dr. Darren J. Brown-Hall
Superintendent of Schools
