01-02-22 COVID-19 At-Home Test Distribution Update to Families
January 2, 2022
Dear Williamsville Central School District Families,
First, I want thank our incredible faculty and staff for their work in organizing a smooth distribution of COVID-19 at-home test kits for students earlier today.
Next, I want to share that if you were unable to pick up a test kit today, you can pick one up for your child(ren) on Monday, January 3, 2022 and Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the District Office (105 Casey Road) from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tests will not be provided unless a parent/guardian is present during pick up.
Please remember that this testing is not required but being made available to students. We believe providing this testing is another mitigation practice that will help maintain an educational environment that is healthy and safe.
It is important to note the District is not recording or reporting test results. However, if your child(ren) receive a positive result from the COVID-19 at home test, please report it to Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) at the following link: https://www3.erie.gov/covid/form/form-to-report-a-positive-covid-
Please know that if parents/guardians have their child(ren) tested and it results in a positive test, they need to keep their child home and follow all the COVID-19 health and safety protocols to return to school. Be sure to also notify your child’s building of attendance of any positive COVID-19 test.
We look forward to having our students and staff back in our buildings.
Sincerely,
Dr. Darren J. Brown-Hall
Superintendent of Schools
