Welcome to the weekly update!

What a fun morning! Speaking of fun – homecoming is right around the corner for all three of our high schools! Williamsville South kicks off the festivities next week! Let’s check-in with student leaders to see what’s in store for the Billies!
We’ll hear from East and North students next week!
Thursday marked the start of Hispanic Heritage month. Each week the District will highlight an individual of significance. This week, we recognized Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor, who became the first person of Hispanic heritage and only the third woman to sit on the US Supreme Court.
Be sure to check out the full video project on our social media pages and YouTube channel. The video is also available in the weekly newsletter!
As a reminder, the FDA provided updated information on expiration dates for COVID-19 at-home test kits. Details were shared at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday and through WITS. You can also review the updated information in the weekly newsletter and on the District’s COVID-19 Education page.
Also available online and in the District Newsletter is a link to the School District Climate and Communications Survey. It provides information and data shared by faculty, staff, parents and students, in four core areas of Engagement, Safety, Environment, and Communication.
As we wrap up, I also wanted to highlight SEPTSA and the great work they work they do for Special Education in our District. Contact information and activities are available on pages 8 and 9 in the District newsletter. If you have any questions about this parent organization please contact SEPTSA President Jen Drexinger, by emailing williamsvilleseptsa@gmail.com
As always, enjoy the weekend and get for school and a huge game for the Bills on Monday Night Football! We’ll see you next week!
