Williamsville's Music Program Earns National Recognition

Williamsville Central School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation. It is the 12th time Williamsville has earned the national recognition. 

The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and the community who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to district that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Qualifications include the amount of funding dedicated to music, graduation requirements, music class participation rates, instruction time, facilities, overall support for the music program, and community-based music programs. 

Nationally, 623 school districts received the award for 2019 including ten Western New York districts.
