At its meeting August 13, the Williamsville Board of Education issued the 2019 tax warrant as approved by district voters in May.

The $126.9 million levy is distributed among the three towns served by the school district. The Town of Amherst makes up 89 percent, the largest portion of the levy. The tax rate for Amherst residents is $17.33 per $1,000 assessed value, an increase of 53-cents. The school tax rate for the Town of Clarence is $16.44, a decrease of 34-cents, while the rate for the Town of Cheektowaga increased by more than a dollar and is $19.33 per $1,000 assessed value. The individual towns issue the tax bills to homeowners.
