WCSD Reopening Plan Presentation & Community Forum
Dear Williamsville Central School District Families,
I want to thank you for your patience as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. As a District, we are continuing to plan and prepare to keep students, staff, and the school community as healthy and safe as possible as we reopen in the fall.
Earlier today, Governor Cuomo announced that all school districts in New York State can reopen. In accordance with the health and safety guidelines provided by the New York State Education Department and the Department of Health, the District will be implementing a hybrid instructional model in the fall. You can read through the District’s Mandatory Assurances and view the Reopening Plan Presentation by visiting our Reopening Information page. Should you decide to not have your child participate in the hybrid instructional model, more information and details regarding full-time online instruction will be available as soon as feasible.
To help keep you informed, the District will be holding a Community Forum to present its reopening plan on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 6 p.m. through a Zoom Webinar. Up to 3,000 people can register to join and ask questions directly to District leadership by following this link: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_tl5qru6hRO-tpgczsVfjwQ
The Community Forum will also be live streamed on the District’s YouTube channel and can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7qJV_fHzWQ
In addition, you can submit your questions and/or concerns to the District by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will be holding two more Community Forums and will also be meeting with teachers in the coming weeks to discuss reopening. We will provide information on those meetings at the appropriate time.
We look forward to meeting with you next week.
